On the occasion of the 30th Foundation Day of Nirma University‘s Institute of Technology, a special event was organized by the Nirma Volunteaching Movement (NVM), NSS (School of Engineering), and OrCES – Organisation of Civil Engineering Students & Civil Engineering Department, Nirma University. This remarkable brought together children from Miroli village and members of the Blind People’s Association, India (BPA), Vastrapur, for a day filled with learning, inspiration, and the celebration of talent.
The children and members from both communities toured the university campus, offering them a unique opportunity to explore the world of higher education. They then took to the stage to showcase their diverse talents, from melodious singing and vibrant dancing to captivating poems and eloquent elocutions. This display of creativity and passion highlighted the immense potential within every child and individual, regardless of their background or abilities.
The event was graced by Shri Rajesh Patel, Director (School of Engineering), and Dr. Himanshu Soni, Director (School of Technology), whose presence added to the significance of the occasion. Prof. Utsav Koshti, NSS SoE Program Officer, and Prof. Dr Tejas Joshi, OrCES Faculty Advisor, played a key role in coordinating the event, ensuring its smooth execution. Extension Activity Coordinator Prof. Tejal Upadhyay also contributed greatly to the program’s success, reinforcing the university’s commitment to community outreach. We also thank all our student coordinators and volunteers for making this event successful.
