A minimum of $6000 was provided as the award money.

🥈 We’re happy to announce that our team participated in the Concrete Challenge competition at the prestigious CEA Fest 2024, hosted by the Department of Civil Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras from March 29th to 31st. In this competition, they demonstrated their ability to design and cast M30-grade concrete with economical and sustainable parameters. Despite the stiff competition from over 20 teams, our team clinched the 2nd runners-up position, a testament to their dedication and hard work.

Congratulations!!! We are very proud to announce that the team of Shivam Akbari (21MCLC01), Jeet Machchhoya (21BCL065), and Om Meta (21BCL070) from Civil Engineering Department, Nirma University finished as second runners up in the event CONQUER-IT at AAKAR-Annual Civil Engineering Technical Festival organized by Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. CONQUER-IT is a technical event that tested student’s ability to design and cast pervious concrete with high compressive and flexural strength. This event consisted of three rounds of competition, and the top 19 teams were selected for the final round.
We would also like to extend a special thanks to Dr Tejas Joshi, who guided the competition and helped our students achieve this milestone.

Jenish Patel (20MCLC10) received the Best Paper Award / Certificate for presenting a paper on “Comparative Study of Outrigger and Wall-Frame Structural Systems in Steel-Concrete Composite Tall Buildings” during the International Conference on Smart and Sustainable Infrastructure, organized at PDEU, Gandhinagar, from August 23-25th, 2022
Group of students with names, Hetavi Patel (19BCL076), Foram Shah (19BCL118), Bhavya Shah (19BCL117), Kruti Chauhan (20BCL502), Jhanvi Dholakiya (20BCL505), Vraj Chaudhary (20BCL131) participated in the National level event “Solar Decathlon India” held at Indian Institute for Human Settlement and the Alliance for an Energy Efficient Economy in month of September 2022 and were the semi finalist in the event.
UltraTech Stimulus Competition is a National Level Technical Event. More than 1700 participants took part in the competition. This competition had 4 rounds of scrutiny and around 16 participants made it to the final round.
We congratulate our student Aditya Sinh for made it to the first runner up and winning a gift voucher worth Rs.10,000/- as a token of appreciation.
Civil Engineering Department congratulates Mr Bhaumik Shukla (18BCL009), Dhruv Bhimani (18BCL010), Shivam Chandravadia (18BCL011) and Aayush Patel (19BCL511) for participating as well as inning the third prize and prize money of 10,000 INR in Sustainable Community Design 2021 organized by Manipal University Jaipur during February 12-14, 2021.
Mr Ankit Chandelia (17BCL009) and Mr Sahaj Ruchirbhai Patel (17BCL101) had participated in the National level Mapathon competition, organized by IIT Bombay, ISRO and AICTE in joint collaboration. The competition observed participation from 9500+ candidates from different parts of the country. Result of the competition was declared on 10/02/2021.

Parthav Patel (19mclc13), student of M.Tech. Sem. 4 has received Best Young Researcher Presentation Award for the paper titled “Strengthening of Multistory Steel Moment Resisting Frame Building against Progressive Collapse using Chevron Bracing” presented at the Virtual International Conference on Sustainable Building Materials and Construction (ICSBMC – 2021) organized by Civil Engineering Department, S. V. National Institute of Technology, Surat in association with Indian Concrete Institute (ICI) Surat Centre during 4 – 6 February 2021.
Parthav Patel, students of MTech (CASAD) – Sem III has presented a paper titled “Comparison of GSA 2003 and 2016 Guidelines for Evaluating Progressive Collapse Potential of Steel Moment Resisting Frame Building” in 35th Indian Engineering Congress (IEC) organized in virtual (ONLINE) mode by The Institution of Engineers (India) during December 18-20, 2020. The paper has been adjudged Best Paper in Civil Engineering Division.
Sahaj Patel (17BCL101) has cleared the examination of IGBC (Indian Green Building Council) Accredited Professional with flying colors. He havs opened avenues for himself and can now participate in green building projects registered under the “IGBC rating programmes” such as IGBC green homes , IGBC new building , IGBC factory building , IGBC green townships , IGBC green existing buildings (operations and maintenance), etc. Department heartily congratulates Sahaj for this achievement.
Mr Hiren Solanki and Mr Vikas Rajput, students of B Tech Semester VI, Secured 1st rank with prize money of 15,000 INR for CONQUIZ 2019 held at CEPT University in collaboration with ICI(Indian Concrete Institute) and Ultratech Cement.
Mr Ajay Gelot, a student of M Tech (CASAD), received ISTE National Award for Best M Tech Thesis in Civil Engineering from Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), New Delhi, for the thesis titled “Development of Interaction Curve for Composite Column”.
