Contour Survey Fieldwork
The Civil Engineering Department, Nirma University, conducted a Contour Survey Project on 1 October 2026, providing students with valuable hands-on exposure to field surveying techniques and the practical application of surveying concepts.
A total of 147 B.Tech 3rd Semester students participated in the fieldwork, accompanied by Dr. Alka Shah, Dr. Nitesh Gupta PhD, Dr. Ardra Suseelan , and Mr. Mahendrasinh Rathod.
The field activity enabled students to gain practical experience in contour surveying and field data collection, while strengthening their understanding of how surveying techniques are applied in real-world civil engineering projects.
Such field-based learning initiatives provide an important bridge between classroom concepts and practical engineering applications, helping students develop essential technical and field skills.
