The Civil Engineering Department, Nirma University, organized an expert lecture on “Connections and Composite Structures Design” as part of the elective course Design of Steel-Concrete Composite Structures (4CL104DE25) on 22 September 2026.
The session was delivered by Mr. NIPUL PATEL, NIL Consulting Engineers, and focused on the design, behaviour, and detailing of connections in composite structures, with emphasis on practical aspects and their application in structural engineering.
The lecture provided students with an opportunity to gain valuable industry-oriented insights and strengthen their understanding of the practical considerations involved in the design of steel–concrete composite structures and their connections.
