Organisation of Civil Engineering Students (OrCES), on the special occasion of Silver Jubilee of Institute of Technology, Nirma University has organized a National Level Technical Symposium Nirman 2019.
This symposium included various technical events, non-technical events, workshops and NDRF exhibition.
Events like Tricky Tower, Poster Presentation, Punch CG, Map the space etc were organized and students enthusiastically participated in the same. Every Technical events were designed in such a manner that they addressed practical application of some basic civil engineering and general life concepts. Placement Yard, a non-technical event also proved as a great eye-catcher as students got to experience how aptitude test, group discussions and Personal Interviews are conducted in a real sense.
Various workshops like Proyogshala, Survekshan and Urban Planning were also organized. Prayogshala gave students a brief description of what role laboratory plays in life of a civil engineer and let them understand that civil engineering is incomplete if not integrated with laboratory experiments. On the other hand Survekshan Workshop gave students the glimpse of upcoming latest surveying techniques like GIS, Remote Sensing and helped students located coordinates from a GPS locator in the premise itself.
The inaugural ceremony of the event was graced by honorable Education Minister of the Gujarat State, Shri.Bhupendra Sinh Chudasama. The exhibition and demonstration by NDRF team was undoubtedly one of the best attractions of the Symposium.
