Vedanshi Shah, Ph.D. Scholar (23FTPHDE76) of civil department, has secured the 2nd Prize in the Postgraduate (PG) category at Urja Shakti 2025, a prestigious national-level energy innovation competition organized by the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology (RGIPT), Jais. Urja Shakti is a national initiative aimed at promoting female participation in the energy sector, and the competition witnessed participation from leading institutions across India, including IITs and NITs. The award ceremony was held on 22nd November 2025 at RGIPT Amethi.
Her entry, titled “Adsorption-based CO2 Capture using Melamine-Functionalized Materials,” focuses on an important aspect of the clean and sustainable energy transition. For her performance in the competition, she was awarded a trophy and a cash prize of ₹30,000.
