The Civil Engineering Department, Nirma University, organized a technical site visit to the Kotarpur Water Treatment Plant, Ahmedabad, for B.Tech. Semester V students of Divisions A and B as part of the Environmental Engineering course during the academic year 2026–27.
The visit was conducted on 3 October 2026, with 85 students participating under the guidance of Dr. Indrajeet Kumar, Dr. Akanksha Agrawal, and Dr. SOMYA AGARWAL.
The site visit provided students with an opportunity to gain practical exposure to water treatment infrastructure and environmental engineering practices, enabling them to relate the concepts discussed in the classroom to their application in a real-world water treatment facility.
Such field-based learning experiences help students develop a better understanding of environmental infrastructure and strengthen the connection between theoretical knowledge and practical engineering applications.
